Letter 22 : Two New Friends
Dear Tim,
It has been a long time that I didn't write to you.
The "Cup Song" from Santa Rosa's was pretty impressive! Translating English to another language is not an easy work. Specially lyrics.
About the winners of the basketball game, we (me, Melody, Vivian Shao) picked the wrong winner at last, but we earned pretty much points in total. Thanks to Melody, she checked the internet to see which school's basketball teams are the best. So, we got the prizes!
Yes. Summer is coming! But a little too early, I think. It started to be a little hot in Taiwan. But the weather is still changeable. So, we need to be very careful not to get a cold.
I'm very surprised at the dragon boat racing in Arizona! I wonder when it started and how it became popular. That's really special!
I have a good news that me and my family are going to keep two kittens!! They were stray cats which were put in the box on the street in the southern Taiwan. They were brought back by my dad's client. They are going to come to our house, me and my brother are so excited because we both love cats. But, I'm a little worried that the client will eventually love the kittens and refuse to give us. Also, I'm worried that after the kittens come to our house, the house will become a mess. I hope my worries won't come true!! If my worries didn't come true, I'll tell you the two little guys name next time. Wait for the good news!

The kittens, taken by my mom
Best regards, Cathy
Dear Cathy,
ReplyDeleteThe kittens are very cute! If you what to keep your parents happy, remember that feeding, watering, and cleaning out the litter box is YOUR job, not your mom's. Another hint: the kittens will "bond' with whoever feeds them. So if you want the cats to love you, you have to be the one who takes care of them.
Will the cat ever have a chance to go outside, or will they be strictly "indoor" cats? They will also need a "scratching post" of some kind, or they will use the furniture to sharpen their claws.
What were the prizes for the basketball tournament?
How did the class basketball team do?
Tim
